Detection Module

There are three different surfaces on the work pieces (metallic, red, black); furthermore they have two different heights. The work piece is transferred to the detection module by a pneumatic handling device. Material color detection is effected with the help of 3 proximity sensors with digital output. The proximity sensors in question are one inductive, one capacitive and one optical proximity sensor. The inductive proximity sensor detects the metallic or non-metallic work piece. The capacitive proximity sensor detects, whether there is a work piece present or not. The optical proximity sensor detects, whether the work piece is black or not. The height is detected by the measuring module.
